The Hart's are off to their ranch for a holiday. They are shooting an advertisement for Hart Industries using a temperamental director. After dismissing several professional models, he decides to use Jennifer in the advertisement. At the same time, there is an escape by a prisoner being transported. He has served five years in jail on account of testimony by Jennifer and he has sworn revenge. There are several attempts on her life, which includes one model mistakenly run over by a car and another man murdered. A criminal that Jennifer sent to prison for fraud escapes and seeks revenge against her. It is up to Jonathan to uncover his plan and save Jennifer. Well, Jennifer's hair is back to normal here. J&J go to their ranch where they're shooting a commercial for it. I think. The director is a total jerk and rejects one model after another, braless and otherwise. He is so over the top that it's ludicrous. But, the actor commits to it, owns it, and ya gotta respect that. So, he sees Jennifer and says she's the one I've gotta have for my commercial, and he won't take no for an answer. Eventually, she agrees. Only there's a guy who just escaped from prison that is after her and tracks her down to the ranch and causes all kinds of havoc. The escapee is played by John Clarke, who originated the veteran role of Mickey Horton on Days of our Lives. This was a huge treat to see. In all the years he was on Days, he didn't do much else, and time never seemed that kind to him. Here he looks so young (only 52), and he does a wonderful job. Completely not Mickey. Great. It was a real treat. But also in this, playing Clarke's sidekick is MC Gainey, who was the scruffiest of the Others on Lost. Talk about looking young; it's shocking to see him. He was creepy then, too!Most of the other guests are great in this, too, but the stunt work? Horrible. They don't even bother making StuntJonathan or StuntClarke look remotely like their counterparts. I mean, full on face shots of them, obviously NOT them. It's bad, bad, bad. I don't get it at all. They could easily have shot those scenes so that they could hide the obvious differences, but no, they chose not to. To Stefanie's credit, I really loved how she drove the wagon in a few scenes all by herself, and she did a great job. This one's got its issues, but but compared to the complete and utter drek that exists in Season 5, this one is … not bad. Oh, I don't think that even this is a stand out among the total disaster that was this last season! A guy who has been locked away only for five years and Jennifer doesn't recognize him! What, she didn't follow up on newspaper reports of a case she allegedly was instrumental in breaking? And the whole, "Oooh, isn't she beautiful!" is really hyperbolic here. This is one of the worst aspects of the whole series. No offense to Ms. Powers, but beautiful she isn't. Or wasn't. She might be/might have been kind of pretty in a very common way, but please!<br/><br/>I'm just finishing watching the whole series and it's pretty shark-y, overall. But this last season is particularly weak. As others have pointed out, in a series in which one can blow holes in them, the plots here are especially weak. A lot of film goes into stock footage of foreign places, which, mercifully eats up a lot of screen time so I guess I shouldn't complain too much. Those commentators who compare this series favorably to Columbo are delusional. I've also watched the whole Columbo run, including the movies, and it holds up way better than Hart to Hart. <br/><br/>I do agree, though, that it was awesome to see a young M.C. Gainey. That's the only redeeming feature in this episode. And I still have the crush on Robert Wagner that I developed growing up in the fifties…
